Are you excited for the return of the XFL?

Oliver Luck, an NCAA executive vice president, will reportedly be leaving the organization to become the commissioner and CEO of the XFL. WWE CEO Vince McMahon is bringing back the league in 2020. A lot of disenfranchised football fans believe the currently defunct league was highly entertaining and could provide a great alternative to the declining NFL. Still, the XFL failed after just one season and there is no reason to think it would succeed now. What do you think? 🏈

The XFL was everything the NFL was not. It was unabashedly violent, players had personality and, most of all, it was entertaining. The NFL has become a league of stiffs and unappreciative millionaires.

Having a monopoly has made the NFL lazy and apathetic to fan needs. What fans deserve is a brand of football that is real and gritty, a league where the players will go all out for the win. The NFL won't provide that, so why not the XFL?

People love to look back at the XFL through rose-colored lenses. The XFL wasn't a league of rebels and renegades, it was a league of professional rejects and subpar football.

The XFL only lasted one year because the athletes on the field were barely football players. It was a gimmick to make Vince McMahon richer and nothing more. Why should anyone expect things to change this time around? The XFL should stay dead.
