For many, WWE wrestlers are the real-life superheroes of the world. Whether they are upholding the values of justice or doing whatever it takes to win, professional wrestlers continue to inspire or draw the ire of fans. Some feel that wrestling is a fake sport, but people will defend their favorite performers to the death. These athletes breathe so much life into their personas that fans can't help but think they're real.

Many go to the WWE believing they will become legendary, like some of the wrestlers before them, but few performers can really count themselves amongst the best of the best. These almost mythical heroes and villains have etched their names into eternity with unforgettable performances and inimitable characters. That's why we picked eight of the best wrestlers to fight in the squared circle of the WWE and want you to answer one question: Who is the greatest WWE wrestler ever?

Don't forget to vote on the other debates in our bracket, Jabronies! Have your voice be heard, and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so!

There is no who compared to the Rolex wearing, diamond ring wearing, kiss stealing, wheeling and dealing, limousine riding, jet flying son of a gun—Ric Flair.

Will J. Baker explains more on Bleacher Report:

Flair was undoubtedly the better worker and he was the "real" World Heavyweight Champion as he toured the territories defending the NWA title belt. Flair also had the swagger and he seriously lived his gimmick. He was the "Nature Boy" and he certainly loved a party.
Flair also pioneered the stable concept with the original "Four Horsemen" and he can boast 17 world title reigns.
Unlike Hogan, Flair can claim to have taken part in some of the greatest matches in wrestling history. His bouts with Ricky Steamboat and Dusty Rhodes in the NWA are legendary and his "I Quit" match with Terry Funk and his cage match with Harley Race are still cited today as works of genius.

One of the greatest performers of the sport, Flair's flamboyant persona perfectly fit the role of the heel. Whether it was flaunting his immense wealth, or employing some of the dirtiest tactics, Flair was always foiling the best-laid plans of faces like Sting or Dusty Rhodes.

There may be other heels in the WWE's future, but no one will ever have the next-level swag of the Nature Boy. Woooo!

The Attitude Era of the WWE was one of the most entertaining in the business's history, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was the redneck star of the show. Austin wasn't the most morally upstanding, nor was he a great role model. He drank beer, got in everyone's face and went head-to-head with some of the biggest villains of his generation. He was the anti-hero that WWE fans deserved.

The Texas Rattlesnake showed no mercy in his clashes with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Fans lived vicariously through his antics against the boss of the company like they were getting over on their own superiors as well. Heroes come in all forms. Austin was the hero that would talk smack, beat you down and talk some more. He was the greatest face of the WWE, and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so.
