Will a rally hurt Colin Kaepernick's odds of finding another quarterback job?

Film director Spike Lee is promoting a rally in front of the NFL's headquarters in New York City to support unemployed quarterback and activist Colin Kaepernick. Supporters of Kaepernick have done rallies like this in the past to show league officials the former quarterback has the support of the football community. However, those past events have done little to change Kaepernick’s situation, and it doesn’t appear it will do much this time either. What do you think? 🏈

When voices unite to criticize the NFL, the league listens. No matter how big the NFL gets, it can still cave to public opinion—especially when its brand is threatened. This rally in front of the NFL offices will put more pressure on the league to do something to help Colin Kaepernick so they don't look like they're colluding against the former San Francisco 49er.

If it worked before with Ray Rice, it should work again with Colin Kaepernick.

People have tried to rally behind Colin Kaepernick before in front of the NFL offices. Didn't hear about it? Don't worry, no one else did. Only around 50 people showed up for the last rally, and nothing about Kaepernick's situation has changed since then. There is no indication another rally will help him right now neither.

Leave the NFL alone, and let the process take its course. A rally does nothing.
