Free agency in the NFL is winding down, but two quarterback prospects are still looking for teams to play for in 2017. Robert Griffin III is struggling to find his rookie year form, but he's only 26 years old and can compete when healthy. Who would you want on your squad? 🏈
Who would you rather have on your team: Robert Griffin III or Colin Kaepernick?
Robert Griffin III has had a rough NFL season so far, but one thing he has on his side is time. Griffin is only 26 years old, and he has plenty of football left to play. His rookie year set a very high bar for his career, and it might've been a little unfair to 2012 second overall draft pick that fans were expecting him to immediate dominate the league.
However, with his speed, RG3 still has the opportunity to return to his rookie year form— once he figures out how to read NFL defenses. Most teams will take that kind of potential over the distractions Colin Kaepernick will bring any day.
It's kind of silly to think Colin Kaepernick, who threw for 16 touchdowns against four interceptions, is still a free agent. Most teams would take those numbers in a heartbeat. We're also talking about a quarterback who led his team to the Super Bowl just five years ago.
But because he has a conscience, teams are scared away by him. Does his stance on social issues distract from football? Yes, but he could also be a boon to teams who are looking for someone who stands up for what they believe in. Robert Griffin III was just a flash in the pan. Kaepernick is a player you should want on your team.
