Looks like we’ll have some familiar faces at the Stanley Cup Finals. The Penguins will be battling it out for their second straight Stanley Cup, an achievement that hasn’t happened since the Detroit Red Wings in 1997 and 1998. And the way Pittsburgh is playing now, it will be hoisting the Cup.

Sidney Crosby is being his superstar self, notching 20 points in 18 games, but he’s not the only one performing well. Evgeni Malkin has been the star of these playoffs, leading the NHL with 24 points. The Predators have faced some stars this postseason, but they aren’t facing a pair quite as hot as Crosby and Malkin.

This is Nashville’s first appearance in the biggest stage of the NHL. No matter who you are, there’s pressure that you have never felt before. The Preds had a nice run, but the experience of the Penguins will give them the edge to win another Stanley Cup.

Maybe next year, Nashville.

Move over traditional NHL powerhouses. There is a new kid in town, they are here to kick some ass and win a Stanley Cup.

Yes, this is the Predators' first time experiencing the Finals, but who needs experience when you have the hottest goalie in the NHL. Pekka RInne has been unstoppable for the Predators this postseason, leading the NHL in the four major goaltending categories heading into the final round: goals against average, save percentage, wins and shutouts. It doesn’t matter how hot the Penguins are, Rinne is playing lights out.

Experience is one of the more overrated attributes heading into a final. Nashville has beaten the Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks, teams with players that have won Stanley Cups. The Predators may not have been on the big stage, but they know what it takes to win games when they matter most.

Nashville will be hoisting their first Stanley Cup.
