Which team got a better deal in the Rams-Titans trade? | The Tylt
The Los Angeles Rams get a #1 Draft Pick out of the deal. Most say they'll get a new franchise-star QB for it. A risky bet with all the chips in.
The Tennessee Titans got a boatload of trades in return.
The Titans have agreed to trade the No.1 pick of the draft to the Los Angeles Rams for the 15th overall pick in this year’s draft, two second-round picks (43 and 45), and a third-rounder (76) in 2016. The Titans will also receive the Rams’ first-round pick in 2017, along with their third-round pick in next year’s draft.
In addition to Tennessee’s No.1 pick this year, the Rams will also receive a fourth-round pick (113) and sixth-round pick (177) in 2016.
The Titans already have a strong QB, so the trade makes sense for them. For the Rams - they have a shot at bursting into the scene in Los Angeles with star power. But did they give up too much? Should Titans have stacked their deck better? Who got the better deal?
Which team got a better deal in the Rams-Titans trade?
From the article: "I don't think it's a good trade for the Rams -- these sorts of deals rarely work out, and this is still a team with a subpar offensive line, major question marks at receiver, and holes in the secondary -- but it's about as defensible as a deal like this can be, given the context of where the Rams are right now. But what about the rest of the league? In a draft where there wasn't (and actually still isn't) an obvious top pick, there's going to be an enormous knock-on effect for how this deal impacts the teams who have to follow the Rams at one."
The Rams trade comes on the heels of Los Angeles losing its local sports hero Kobe Bryant.
Titan fans are excited about the possibility that having so many picks in the future will bring.
