Will Tim Tebow be called up to the Mets?
Let's be real. Honest baseball scouts have almost zero confidence in Tebow to make a big league roster. At 32 years old, he's approaching the age where many scouts think a player's skills are set or starting to decline. The former Florida quarterback hit .163 last year in Triple-A ball, but that's not good enough for him to be called up to The Show, where the level of play is much higher.
His journey has been commendable, but he won't make it to MLB.
Tebow has been proving the haters wrong for his entire athletic career. He doesn't let the criticism faze his game. He's a baller, pure and simple. He knows how to win. And when you give him a shot, Tebow carries his teammates to success every time.
And let's not dismiss the fact that Tebow is a gifted athletic specimen with real physical skills. He has proven he can hang with the big boys, notching a .336 OBP and .273 batting average in Double-A. He'll make the adjustments at Triple-A and get called up.
