As talks of a new stadium in Oakland go nowhere, Raiders owner Mark Davis says he's ready to commit half a billion dollars to move the team to Las Vegas. Talks in Oakland have stalled because the city has ruled out using any public funding to build a new stadium. In Las Vegas, not only is there the possibility of a private-public funding venture, but there is already a lot where the new stadium would be built.
It wouldn't be the first time the Raiders moved. The franchise started in 1960 in Oakland, but moved in 1982 to Los Angeles. It came back to Oakland in 1995 where it is today. All three of its Super Bowl wins were when the team was in Oakland.
While fans in Oakland are pleading the team to stay, Mark Davis may follow the money to Las Vegas.
