2017 could be the year teams like the Baltimore Ravens go international. But American and London fans are split on whether the NFL should continue to expand to the other side of the Atlantic.

#LondonWantsNFL

The Ravens have yet to play overseas in London. And some fans would love for them to get their shot at international success.

London fans are ready to not only have the Ravens play there, but for NFL's expansion in the UK.

But some American fans don't want to see football culture expanding out of the country.

Matter of fact, Americans want the NFL to stop trying to make London a thing. They're good with football staying here.

Come on now, the NFL is bound to happen for London.

Here's Philly.com's three reasons:

  1. A UK fanbase has been mobilized.
  2. A new stadium is being built.
  3. And there's a market there.

Furthermore, chairman of Premier League football Daniel Levy told ESPN:

If it ever got to a stage where the NFL decided it wanted to have a permanent team in London, this stadium could literally be, whatever the team was, it would be their stadium as opposed to an NFL team feeling they're renting Tottenham's stadium.

HELLO! London football is a thing, and it's only going to expand.

But legal issues aren't the only obstacles the NFL faces with UK expansion.

Forbes has many other reasons why expanding to the UK will be very difficult for the NFL

  1. The European Union has to get on board.
  2. The NFL Players Association has to get on board too.
  3. Some NFL players might not get visas to work in London/UK.
  4. And NFL players might be charge a great deal in UK taxes.

Do NFL players really want to pay UK taxes?! Probably not.
