Should the Cleveland Cavaliers trade LeBron James? | The Tylt
According to reports, LeBron James is leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers next summer. With James putting one foot out the door, the Cavs could score a massive haul of players and picks back by trading him. However, Cleveland has assembled a team that can make it the NBA Finals, and maybe winning another championship could convince LeBron to stay. What do you think? 🏀

LeBron James has been the best player in the NBA. He has evolved from an incomparable talent to a legendary basketball player, but his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers may be coming to an end... again. With speculation that he will leave next year looming over the team, should the Cavs move him to get some assets?
Last time LeBron James left Cleveland, all the Cavaliers got was angry fans and a team with a gaping talent hole. The team needs to learn from its mistakes and deal James before he can leave again, leaving the Cavs with nothing in return. James may have a no-trade clause, but if the team is able to trade him to a destination he prefers, something can be worked out where both parties get what they want.
James is on his way out. The Cavaliers might as well get something before letting the best player on the planet simply walk away.

Just trade #LeBronJames NOW.
He's a CANCER.
Entitled BRAT who can't accept responsibility 4 his decisions.#CAVS #NBA #LeBron
As much as the Cavaliers would love to get a big haul for dealing LeBron James, it won't happen because of his no-trade clause. Any team with assets to throw on Cleveland is in no position to win immediately the way James wants. And every contending team in the league doesn't have the assets that would make an appealing package the Cavs would take.
The only hope Cleveland has is shooting for another NBA Championship and hoping the front office can get James to stick around. Trading away the best player on the planet would be a foolhardy plan.
