As much as Haden has become a part of the city of Cleveland, it's time for the Browns to do Haden a solid and trade him. The team is obviously in transition, and need to rebuild from the ground up. Haden shouldn't spend the last good years of his career on another losing team with no chance at the playoffs.
Aside from doing him a favor, Haden has lost a step due to injuries that have plagued him in the past two season. The Browns would be doing themselves a favor by not risking another year where Haden potentially gets hurt, and their money goes to waste. It would be better for everyone if the team dumped his salary, and looked to the future.
Haden is a leader, and the most talented cornerback on the Cleveland Browns. The team just can't give him up because it wants to start rebuilding. Let this man play out his contract with the team that drafted him, and for the city that fell in love with him.
Haden has had injury trouble the past couple seasons, but he appears even more motivated before to prove he hasn't lost a step. It's that kind of heart, and grit the Browns need as they bring in younger players who may be the future of the franchise. If the organization deals Haden, the Browns' defense will be a rudderless ship with no one to lead the team in what it means to be a professional in the NFL. He may have lost a step, but his impact on the team extends beyond numbers. Cleveland needs Haden to be on the team.
