Should Ray Rice get a second chance in the NFL? | The Tylt
Ray Rice told ESPN's Mike And Mike that a second chance in the NFL for him "will happen." But following his domestic violence charges and years out of the game, many critics say his career is over, or that he shouldn't be allowed to play. Others believe he owned up to his mistakes and deserves a comeback. Should the NFL #LetRayPlay or is it #OverForRay? Check out the perspectives below and vote!
Should Ray Rice get a second chance in the NFL?
Ray thinks a second shot is coming his way.
But Ray never served any jail time for punching his then-fiancée Janay Palmer and then dragging her out of an elevator in February 2014.
Hence, some aren’t buying he deserves a second chance in the NFL.
Ray Rice deserves a second chance in the NFL about as much as Bill Cosby deserves another go as Dr. Huxtable— M. Everett Crawford (@crawfxrd_) August 10, 2016
And his critics want you to stop comparing his situation to others! Some still don’t think he deserves another chance and that’s that!
But some say he’s too old now, too.
Face it. He’s done, folks.
Ray Rice has 1,799 career touches, averaged 3.1 ypc in his last NFL season, and hasn't played in almost 3 years. He's done, folks.— Ian Kenyon (@IanKenyonNFL) August 10, 2016
Ray did own up to his mistakes. Now, he is ready to rejoin the NFL.
Really would like to see Ray Rice get a second chance in the NFL, after all he's done to own up to his lapse in judgment.— Dan Scho (@danoffthewall) August 10, 2016
Janay forgave him and later married him. Should the rest of the world forgive him, too?
It baffles me that people are so fake mad about the Ray Rice situation years later, but the victim in all this forgave him and MARRIED him— Kimberly Reese (@TiericaJay_) August 10, 2016
And he might not be young, but he can still play.
The fact that Ray Rice hasn't been giving a second chance is sick. No he may not be starting caliber anymore but he can still play— Doug Stamper (@Brown__Julian) August 10, 2016
But Twitter isn’t as forgiving, although some feel like he deserves a second chance to play.
According to Twitter logic if you think Ray Rice deserves a second chance you hate your mother and probably fight girls too 🙄— Pen Griffey, Jr. ✍ (@ErrBodyLuvsCris) August 10, 2016
