Most polarizing sports figure of 2018: Serena Williams or Colin Kaepernick?
It's the end of the year! And we're facing-off the best music artists, movies, TV shows, video games, sports and pro athletes of 2018. The "Best of 2018" is chosen by a combination of popularity, impact, acclaim, rankings and/or amount sold. But ultimately, we want you to let us know who really won the year in each category.
And don't forget to cast your vote for these other end-of-year debates:
From yelling at chair umpires to being unabashedly open about motherhood, Serena Williams has been a lightning rod in 2018.
Some love Serena for attempting to be an elite athlete while also being a mom. Others criticize her for sacrificing time with her baby for career goals or her attitude on the court. No matter what it is, Serena Williams has people talking and that won't change until she retires.
No matter what Colin Kaepernick does, he is always a lightning rod for praise and scorn.
If he advocates against police brutality, people have an opinion. If someone hears of another player following his lead and kneeling during the national anthem, people have an opinion. Heck, the guy is sitting at home and not playing in the NFL, and people have an opinion. Kaepernick can't move without being judged. He is the most polarizing athlete of 2018.
