Should Rudy Gobert be suspended?

After receiving a confirmed coronavirus diagnosis, a video surfaced of Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert jokingly touching reporters' mics, appearing to make light of the situation surrounding the illness a few days prior. His diagnosis caused the NBA season to be suspended and many feel his cavalier attitude towards a very serious situation should result in a suspension. Others feel like Gobert isn't the problem and he shouldn't shoulder all of the blame, let alone be suspended for it. What do you think? 🏀

So you think a global pandemic is a joke, Gobert? Maybe you should sit a couple of games, if not years, out.

The NBA has a responsibility to protect its players and if someone callously threw caution into the wind and joked about getting a deadly virus, they deserve to be punished. Gobert put everyone at risk and that should not go unpunished.

People are going to blame Gobert for causing the suspended season, but it's not like he asked to be patient zero in the NBA. Yes, he should have been so casual about the illness given the situation, but he shouldn't be blamed for catching a virus he may have gotten from someone else.

Carelessness is one thing, but losing game checks and being a pariah should not be the fate of Gobert.
