The Pittsburgh Steelers have franchise-tagged running back Le'Veon Bell despite his threat to retire if the team applied the tag. The All-Pro back is set to make around $14.5 million if the Steelers with the tag, but Bell is looking for a long-term deal. Many feel that he is asking too much after turning down a contract last year and threatening to retire at the end of the season. Still, Bell is just looking for long-term stability from a team that heavily leans on him. What do you think? 🏈

$14.5 million is objectively a lot of money, and that isn't enough for Le'Veon Bell? Come on, man. How about a little loyalty to the team who stood by you when you broke your leg and when you got popped for marijuana possession and DUI?

If Bell wants a long-term deal, he should have accepted the front-loaded five-year deal the Steelers offered him over the summer. Instead, he is crying about how he doesn't feel valued. He should shut up, play the game and stop being greedy.

People can't seem to sympathize with someone who is just trying to maximize his earning potential, even though that's exactly what everyone does on a daily basis. NFL fans know if they put in backbreaking work they would want to be rewarded for continuing to do it. Bell touched the ball over 400 times in 2017 and was the engine that drove a playoff-qualifying Steelers team.

Bell's dynamic skill set warrants respect and appreciation in the form a fair long-term contract. He isn't being greedy. He just wants to be paid what he is worth.
