Who advances to the Stanley Cup Finals: Hurricanes or Bruins?
The Carolina Hurricanes are the most fun team in the NHL, and that loose environment has been carrying them in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. They've eliminated the defending Stanley Cup champions, sweeping an overwhelmed New York Islanders team, and the Bruins won't be able to stop them.
They've played three fewer games than Boston and will be fresher heading into this matchup. Also, they've allowed the fewest goals of the remaining playoff teams. They might as well punch their ticket to the finals.
The Canes might be the cool new kids on the block, but cool won't mean much when they run into grizzled playoff veterans. The Bruins have been in 10 postseasons the last 12 years, making it to two Stanley Cup Finals. That kind of experience is invaluable at this stage of the playoffs.
Boston is coming into the Eastern Conference Finals with the best goal differential in the postseason. Tuuka Rask has been solid in goal, and there is no way this inexperienced Canes team will take The Bruins down.
