New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski smashed Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White’s head into the turf after the whistle, earning a one-game suspension from the league. Gronkowski has already apologized and a fine for the hit is likely, but does he deserve to miss a game? Some say Gronkowski needs to be punished for a dangerous hit on a defenseless player that sent White to concussion protocol. But others feel a fine should be sufficient. What do you think? 🏈

Should Gronkowski have been suspended for this hit?

People can understand frustration on the football field, but that doesn't give you license to assault a guy. What Gronkowski did was the definition of "dirty." He hit a defenseless player after the play was clearly over, and sent him to the sideline under concussion protocol. That kind of malicious hit has no place in the game, and he should face the consequences for it.

If you can't sympathize with a guy getting frustrated after getting interfered with and treated unfairly, then you're just blind. Gronkowski lost his mind because he was frustrated for getting totally robbed by the referees. He might be big and strong, but that doesn't mean he deserves to be treated differently by the zebras calling the game.

Gronk already apologized and showed remorse for his actions. A fine should be plenty of punishment for Gronkowski.
