Best comeback of the year: New England Patriots or USC Trojans?
It's the end of the year! And we're facing-off the best songs, albums, movies, TV shows, video games, sports, pro athletes and entertainers of 2017. The "Best of 2017" is chosen by a combination of popularity, impact, acclaim, rankings and/or amount sold. But ultimately, we want you to let us know who and what from 2017 won the year in each category.
This year was full of teams not willing to give up when things looked grim. In this debate, we want to know who you think had the better comeback—the New England Patriots at the Super Bowl or the USC Trojans at the Rose Bowl?
And don't forget to cast your vote for these other end of year debates:
The New England Patriots were down by 25 points in the second half with the Atlanta Falcons rolling over the team for nearly three quarters. That's when Tom Brady realized he was Tom Brady, and engineered the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history. Not only did the Patriots walk away with another championship, they handed the internet one of the best running memes on Twitter.
It was a strange year for the USC Trojans. First they start the season 1-3, then they finish the season on a eight-game winning streak. However, that momentum seemed to have reached its peak in the Rose Bowl when Penn State held a 14-point lead late in the game. Trojans quarterback Sam Darnold went supersaiyan, erasing the deficit and leading the Trojans to one of the greatest comebacks in the Bowl's history. The game showed the country Darnold's superstar potential, and signaled the return of USC football to national prominence.
