The NCAA and NFL seasons are in full swing and both sports are thrilling fans every week. But which one is better? College football offers tradition and an unparalleled stadium experience—and some fans think it's just more fun. However, the NFL offers the best athletes in the world at their physical peak, with a more visually appealing product. What do you think? 🏈

The upsets, the drama, the crowds—when it comes to football, the NCAA is just plain better. Football teams, and the universities they play for, are often the backbone of their local communities. In many places, the football team has been a staple of entertainment for more than a century. The NFL may have its tradition, but it can't touch the deeply rooted love NCAA football fans have for their respective teams.

The NFL loves to say it has the best athletes from college football, meaning it fields the better product. That may be true, but college football has underdog stories people love to relate to. A lot of these players won't be in the NFL—rarely do people hit the genetic lottery like NFL players do. However, the athletes who play college football do it because they love it, and passionate play shows on the field.

Speaking of underdogs, there may be nothing more exciting than to see an outmatched school beat a superior program. There are over 100 college football programs in the country. When the little teams with no money outwork some of the most talented athletes in the nation, it is something special. In the NFL, when a 0-10 team beats the best team in the league, there is little fanfare other than funny memes. In college football, it is a cause for celebration.

There is a looseness when it comes to college football. From the read-option to the wishbone offense, there are more options to keep things fresh. The game moves much faster, the scores are higher and coaches are more willing to pull out trick plays to thrill the crowd. The NFL is so rigid and formulaic with their play, it gets boring.

When it comes to college football, there's fun in every down and every play. That's why it is the best.

There are few things more annoying than a college football fan telling you the NFL is an inferior sport because it lacks the tradition or the environment college football has. College football has a few things on the NFL, but if it comes down to watching good football, there is no question the NFL is a far superior product than the NCAA.

On a college football team, you might have five or six players who can really play football at a high level. The rest are either inconsistent or playing because the school needs bodies in case someone goes down. In the NFL, every single athlete plays football at a high level. We're talking about the fastest and strongest players from every college football team just on one team... for every team. The result is the best football on the planet, with some of the most insane plays you'll see anywhere.

Because college football has so many players, the disparity of talent is huge. One player can completely dominate a game, not necessarily because of skill or hard work, but simply because he is the most athletic player on the field. There's really nothing special about that. Dominating an NFL game with other freak athletes on the field? Now that's something.

The NFL is the best sport in the country, and nothing compares to it.

You go to an NFL game, and what do you see? Unengaged "fans" half-heartedly watching the game, turning on their team at a moments notice. Oh, you want spirit? You'll get none of that in the cold concrete slabs of an NFL arena. Going to college football games, however, is something else.

It starts with a tailgate, which turns into a large community cookout. Everyone is sharing and makes you feel right at home, even in the cold weather. Then, there's the game. The sound of tens of thousands of fans screaming in unison is beautifully deafening, making ears ring with the sweet sound of support and intimidation. You are part of something bigger, something so big it actually scares the players on the field into making mistakes.

The NFL might have better athletes, but they don't have the kind of fans college football has.

College football is the best football in America, and it's not even close.

The NCAA is still befuddled by controversy, especially in regards to how it determines the best team in the country. College football relies on polls and computers to decide what teams will play for a national championship. There are a lot of politics that go into the polls, and you can't crunch numbers to determine the worth of the team. The only metric you need is wins and losses.

That is why the NFL is better.

In the NFL, teams are judged by their performance on the field. If you win, you put yourself in a good position to play for a Super Bowl. If you lose, you don't get rewarded. When it comes to postseason play, the professionals square up and go toe-to-toe to determine the superior team—not computers or polls. There is no controversy in determining which is the best football team.

There's always a lot of hemming and hawing throughout the NCAA season about what team is the best. In the NFL, there is no question.
