And don't forget to cast your vote for these other end of year debates:
Without their franchise quarterback, the New England Patriots' championship hopes were in danger. But Bill Belichick's genius was not going to be denied. Not only did the Patriots finish Tom Brady's four game absence with three wins, New England rolled through the season with Brady at the helm. The season culminated in the greatest Super Bowl comeback in the game's history. There were ups, there were downs, but the Patriots showed they had the hearts of champions.
The super team strategy rarely worked in the past (Hello, 2004 Los Angeles Lakers), but the Golden State Warriors made it look easy. After recruiting all-world player Kevin Durant to join their team, the Warriors went on a tour of destruction of the NBA, even through injury stints of multiple players. When the playoffs rolled around, no one could stand in Golden State's way. The team went 16-1 en route to their second NBA championship in three years.
