The NFL season is coming to a close and two players have separated themselves in the MVP race. Perennial candidate Tom Brady has led the New England Patriots to another AFC East Championship while leading the league in passing yards and ranks among the top three in passing touchdowns. However, Todd Gurley has had himself a season, helping the Los Angeles Rams turnaround the team's success by leading the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Who takes the MVP? 🏈

No one is surprised Tom Brady has the New England on the cusp of another Super Bowl year, and no one should be surprised when the Patriots quarterback takes home another MVP trophy. He is close to finishing the season with the most passing yards in the league and will finish in the top five in touchdown passes.

Most importantly, Brady's team has a first-round bye and could have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. No matter how old he is, Brady continues to prove he is the best player in the league.

Move over, Grandpa Brady. There is a new sheriff in town.

Todd Gurley started the season a little slow, but he has exploded as the year has gone on, leading the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns while being the main weapon in the Los Angeles Rams' revamped offense. Take Gurley off the field and the team will fall apart without him.

Toddy Gurley deserves the MVP this year.
