Is Kirk Cousins overrated?

NFL quarterback Kirk Cousins may be the most sought-after free agent in 2018, but is he worth all of the hype? Cousins is still in the prime years of his career, completing 67 percent of his passes and averaging 4,392 yards and 27 touchdowns the last three seasons. Still, he is below .500 as a starter and hasn't proven he can carry a team on his own. What do you think? 🏈

Kirk Cousins is an elite quarterback who carries the Washington Redskins. He cannot be blamed for their inability to win games or make it to the playoffs—the team's bottom of the barrel defense should shoulder that blame.

In his two seasons as a full-time starter, Cousins has put up numbers that any team would want in their quarterback. If anyone wants one of the best at the quarterback position in the league, they are going to have to pay up.

Kirk Cousins has been fawned over and worshiped like he is some sort of Tom Brady-level quarterback. Why? Cousins has been a good quarterback, but he is definitely not an elite one. It is comical Cousins thinks he should be paid like one.

Cousins did help the Redskins win the NFC East two seasons ago, but when it came to the playoffs, he couldn't get his team out of the Wild Card round. He hasn't shown he is a game-changing quarterback deserving of the game-changing money. Don't get it twisted—Cousins is overrated.
