Is Jacksonville Jaguars' Blake Bortles the real deal?

The Jacksonville Jaguars have clinched a playoff spot with two games left in the season, and quarterback Blake Bortles' hot arm is a big reason why. He's thrown for seven touchdowns and no interceptions in his last three games, averaging 301 passing yards during that stretch. Bortles is starting to look like the franchise quarterback Jacksonville drafted in 2014. Still, he's had hot streaks before only to cool down. What do you think? 🏈

Easily one of the worst quarterbacks in the league last year, Bortles has turned things around and transformed the Jaguars into a legitimate Super Bowl threat. His decision making has improved and he is taking fewer shots down the field, limiting his interceptions to just eight this year—with just two games left on the schedule.

He's more mature, his pocket presence is only getting better and he has an arsenal of weapons to use to his advantage. Bortles is finally becoming a star.

Everyone needs to cool their jets. Bortles is still Bortles and until he can prove he can lead this Jaguars team to a playoff win, he hasn't done anything yet. He has been on hot streaks before, and the team has still fallen flat.

In 2015, Bortles had a stretch where he threw for 13 touchdowns and three interceptions in four games. He came back in 2016 to have a horrible year. Let's wait and see before declaring this dud a stud.
