Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is out with a broken collarbone, leaving the Green Bay Packers without a proven player behind center. Many fans have suggested the team sign broadcaster and former Pro-Bowl quarterback Tony Romo. The former Dallas Cowboy is not even a year removed from retirement and would be an asset to a playoff-ready team. But Romo retired after suffering debilitating injuries and seems pretty comfortable in the broadcast booth. What do you think? 🧀 🏈

If not for the explosive start from Dak Prescott, Tony Romo may still be an NFL quarterback. This is the same man who threw for 3,705 yards, 34 touchdowns and only nine interceptions in 2014. After a couple of back injuries, Tony Romo decided to retire to the broadcast booth, where he has been an instant fan favorite for his player insight. Still, with the Packers down one Pro-Bowl quarterback, they could definitely use his Pro-Bowl skills to fill the void.

Players as competitive as Romo don't want to leave the game knowing they had something left to give. Romo would be stepping into a great situation, where he could win the title he was always working towards with Dallas. With Green Bay having championship talent around them, the Packers should have no trouble convincing Romo to lead them while Rodgers is down.

Imagine enduring the physical punishment of a car crash every several days and playing on the road for weeks... sitting comfortably in a booth, and spending time with your family consistently. Would you want to go back?

Romo still has talent, but he walked away from the game after suffering through immense pain only to be ridiculed and derided by millions on a weekly basis. Now, he is killing it in his new role as a color commentator and doesn't have to deal with the everyday grind of being an NFL star.

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. If he comes back, he puts himself at further risk of injury, and even if he plays, there is no guarantee he will win the championship he's always chased. Romo should stay in the booth.
