Who would you rather have a criminal as a backup quarterback or a protestor?

Former Broncos backup quarterback Chad Kelly was arrested for criminal trespassing after being found in a house "mumbling incoherently" on a couch. He was released by the team, but there are plenty of people who would gladly pick him up. While people are waiting to jump on Kelly, many are wondering why Colin Kaepernick, who was a peaceful protestor, is still out of job. Some would rather have Kaepernick on a team instead of Kelly. What do you think? 🏈

The United States is a country where second chances should be granted. There is no reason for the NFL not to give everyone a chance to redeem themselves.

People who have been accused of crimes shouldn't have their dreams crushed because of one bad mistake. Protestors like Colin Kaepernick are just seeking media attention and can distract the locker room and the league. Giving criminals a second chance is much better than employing someone who doesn't care about the shared values of their employer.

Let's run through a list: criminal trespassing, sexual assault, and animal abuse—these are just a few crimes quarterbacks have committed or been accused of. And yet, Kaepernickwho is only guilty of using his constitutional right to peacefully protestis unemployed.

People make mistakes, yes, but committing crimes is an obvious sign of poor decisionmaking and a stain on the sport. Protestors are actively trying to bring attention to real issues while criminals just damage the league. The league should encourage teams to keep protestors employed.
