The Atlanta Falcons made franchise quarterback Matt Ryan the highest paid quarterback in the league, giving him a five-year contract extension that includes $100 million guaranteed. Ryan becomes the first NFL player to be making $30 million a year, and it's not hard to see why considering his production and accolades. Still, with a 4-6 record in the playoffs and no Super Bowls, many feel that he was overpaid. What do you think? 🏈

Matt Ryan has been an elite quarterback in the NFL Since 2010. He's led the Falcons to six playoff appearances, won two AP Offensive Player of the Year awards and an NFL MVP. He has done nothing but produce for Atlanta since he was drafted in 2008. And if Matthew Stafford and Jimmy Garoppolo can be the highest paid quarterbacks without winning a playoff game, Ryan has earned that money. He is worth every penny.

Ryan has been a good quarterback in the NFL, but to say he deserves to be the highest paid player in the NFL is a stretch. He led Falcons to one Super Bowl where he was a part of the biggest choke in the game's history. Before that Super Bowl run, Ryan was 1-4 in the playoffs. This is the guy you want to give $30 million a year? He's not worth that much money.
