Here is what Dustin Cox at Baltimore Beatdown had to say about Lamar Jackson's No. 1 ranking on the NFL 100:

In just his second season, Jackson not led the entire league in touchdown passes with 36, he also broke the QB rushing record with 1,201 yards on the ground, a record previously held by Michael Vick. Team after team was left in awe of Jackson’s abilities in 2019 as he propelled Baltimore to a 12-game winning streak.
Jackson was doubted by many as he entered the 2018 NFL Draft, with some even saying he didn’t have what it took to play QB at the NFL level. Five QBs were selected ahead of Jackson before he was selected with the last pick of the first round. After taking over a 4-5 team as a rookie in 2018, the Ravens only lost one game with Jackson at the helm, finishing the regular season with a record of 10-6 and making the playoffs for the first time since the 2014 season. While many claimed that Jackson was figured out by the Chargers in Baltimore’s playoff loss, he would respond with a historic season, dominating the NFL landscape.

Tylt sports editor Dan Tran sits down with The Ringer's Tyler Tynes to breakdown whether black quarterbacks are treated fairly in the NFL.

This is what Yahoo! Sports' Jack Baer had to say about Patrick Mahomes and his No. 4 ranking in the 2020 NFL 100:

Let’s get a simple truth out of the way: Patrick Mahomes is the best player in football right now.
Maybe someone does something this season that creates a counterargument, but for now, it’s clear. Mahomes just won Super Bowl MVP honors after carrying his team to a championship one year after dominating his way to an MVP award. His highlight throws are already the stuff of legend. He is the most accomplished player in NFL history through his first three seasons since Jim Brown, which is awfully impressive considering he basically redshirted his rookie season.
The market reflected that fact when the Chiefs gave Mahomes a market-breaking half-billion-dollar contract, a statement that he is not only the most valuable player in football, but will be for several years.
