NCAA's Best College Fan Base: Notre Dame or Georgia?
Many sports fans claim to love their teams, but there is no community more passionate about their clan than college sports fans. Whether its the sweet smell of an irresistible tailgate or the eardrum-shattering chants at a game, fans of NCAA sports know how to have a good time.
Despite having larger venues in college football, fans have no trouble filling the seats and making their environment as inhospitable as possible. We at the Tylt love college sports fans, and their rapid support of their teams. And that's why we want to know who is the loudest and proudest 12th man in the NCAA. Will your team win?
Here, we have the Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Georgia Bulldogs. Notre Dame beat Texas in a hotly contested first-round matchup with 60.2 percent of the vote. Georgia beat Ohio State in a close debate with 52.5 percent of the vote to advance to the second round. Who will make it to the final four?

Like politics or religion, college football fandom is passed down from generation to generation. And no one has done it better than Notre Dame. It seems fans of the Fighting Irish come out of the womb with blue and gold, and stay that way for life.
Even though the team hasn't been successful as of late, Notre Dame Stadium is packed under the watchful eyes of Touchdown Jesus, with a battalion of loyal followers who know nothing more than to scream their heads off. Here is Joshua Vowles of One Foot Down on why he is a Fighting Irish fan:
Through all this time, I became a fanatic. Why? Because of my father. Throughout my life, my father and I can go great lengths of time without speaking. Sometimes the conversations are merely a few sentences, and sometimes they just play the role of catching up. There are those other times though, when the Fighting Irish football team is the topic, and that is something that is never lost or forgotten. There is the simple truth. I am a fan of Notre Dame because my father is a fan. When I asked my own children just the other day why they loved the Irish, they said, 'Because of you, daddy.' How funny and completely unsurprising it all is — and how wonderful.
SEC headlines have been dominated by Alabama in recent years, but Georgia is starting to make their way in the national conversation, and fans in Athens are loving every second of it. Despite losing in heartbreaking fashion nearly every year, the fan base comes back bigger and stronger than ever. This rowdy group follows the team everywhere, even making the trip up to Notre Dame earlier this year, turning an away game into a neutral site.
Because they have been under the radar for so long, they are also some of the friendliest SEC fans you'll encounter. Some opposing schools have even dedicated columns in the school newspaper praising the Bulldogs for their behavior. That's how you know you have a good fan base.
