Despite having larger venues in college football, fans have no trouble filling the seats and making their environment as inhospitable as possible. Gainsville may not have much, but every Saturday, Gators fans flood the university with nothing but blue and orange. Their fans are loud, they are cocky and they won't apologize for it.
There are many hand signs and motions in college football, but there's nothing as recognizable as the Gator Chomp. The sound of tens of thousands of fans clapping in unison echo through the intimidating confines of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, appropriately nicknamed the Swamp for its sweltering heat.
Think your fan base is loyal? Has your team sold out its stadium for 359 games and counting? Yeah, didn't think so. the Nebraska Cornhuskers have sold every seat in Memorial Stadium since 1962—a record of loyalty that may never be equaled in college football.
Cornhusker fans are as loud as they come, swallowing up opposing teams in the "Sea of Red" every game. Nebraska supporters also have the recipe for being rapid followers of their team, while being respectful of their opponents—even applauding them win or lose.
I know it's a stretch and there are always the few idiots in the group, but all around I believe this one to be true. The people of Nebraska are nice and polite. Even if we get stomped by the opposing team. We are respectful of any team visiting or at home.
