Who will make it to the NBA Finals: Bucks or Raptors?
The Raptors might have the best scorer in the Eastern Conference, but the Bucks have the best player.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has continued to build on his game and has been outstanding this postseason, leading the league in Basketball-Reference.com's player efficiency rating, defensive rating and win shares per 48 minutes. As a result, Milwaukee is coming into the Eastern Conference Finals playing three fewer games. They are the best in the conference in offensive and defensive rating, and Toronto has no shot at solving them after being pushed by the Philadelphia 76ers through seven games.
The Bucks only have one loss this postseason, and that might actually be a disadvantage. The Bucks haven't truly been in danger the entire postseason or proven themselves capable of winning when their playoff lives are on the line.
The Raptors survived Game 7 against Philadelphia—an experience that is invaluable to a team's confidence. Not that they need any more boosts.
The North has allowed the fewest points per game this postseason. They also have a scorching hot Kawhi Leonard, who leads the conference in scoring and offensive box plus/minus.
Toronto knows how to win when it matters most, and that will be the edge against the Milwaukee.
