Who should win NBA MVP: LeBron James or Giannis Antetokounmpo?
There is no way you see LeBron James’ effort and effectiveness this season and not give him the MVP. We’re talking about a 35-year-old who leads the NBA in assists and comes up with huge performances against elite opponents when the Lakers need it the most.
Los Angeles is the best team in the Western Conference and lot of that has to do with James and his ability to do everything on the court. He should get the MVP this year.
If you’re looking for a more valuable player in the NBA, you would be hard-pressed to find one more important to his team than Giannis Antetokounmpo. According to Basketball-Reference, the Greek Freak has a higher value over replacement player than everyone not named James Harden, so when it comes to value, LeBron James doesn’t even compare to him
He also leads James in nearly every statistical category, including leading the league in win shares and win shares per 48 minutes. Throw that in with leading the Bucks to the best record in basketball and you have a player more than worthy of back-to-back MVPs.
