The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers kicked off the NBA's return and gave a great back-and-forth game to get fans excited about the NBA season again. The regular season series ended with the two teams splitting the four games and both look like they're on a collision course for the Western Conference Finals. The Lakers flex their muscles by riding LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The Clippers hope Kawhi Leonard and Paul George will annoint the squad as "LA's team." Who will have bragging rights in LA by the end of season? 🏀

No matter how good the Clippers have been or how bad the Lakers were, Los Angeles is always a purple and gold town. The Lakers don't necessarily have to have bragging rights in order be the city's team, but this season, both will be true.

Anthony Davis and LeBron James have become one of the most dynamic duos in the NBA. Together, they average 52.4 points a game and lead a unit that is seventh in points per game and second is points against. The Clippers are talented, but they don't have an answer for both of these monsters.

LA will belong to the Lakers.

The Clippers aren't the little brother anymore and they haven't been little brother in Los Angeles since 2013. The Clippers have made it to the playoffs the last six years while the Lakers have been toiling in the lottery and this year, they won't let LeBron James and Anthony Davis stand in their way of once again finishing the season higher than their crosstown rivals.

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have proven to be one of the best two-way duos in the NBA. Both can score from anywhere on the court and lock down the other team's best player with ease. The Clippers also have more proven depth on their team with Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell accounting for 37.3 points per game off of the bench.

The Lakers have star power, but the Clippers have a more complete team that will carry them farther.
