Are the Golden State Warriors a lock for the NBA Finals?
The Warriors were nearly perfect in the NBA playoffs last season. They brought back the same team, added new pieces and are rolling through the NBA once again.
Golden State has played some games without former MVP Stephen Curry but the team still finds itself in a league of their own. They even beat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas. The season is a formality for the Warriors. The NBA should just give them a spot in the NBA Finals.
The NBA season is long and full of terrors. While the Warriors dominate the league when they are healthy, there are plenty of opportunities for them to get injured.
Even when they are semi-healthy, Golden State can still fall to a talented team. The Houston Rockets look like a threat, and the Oklahoma City Thunder has a solid record against the Warriors. Golden State still has to earn the right to play for a championship just like everyone else.
