NBA troll of the year: Draymond Green or Russell Westbrook?
It's the end of the year! And we're facing-off the best songs, albums, movies, TV shows, video games, sports, pro athletes and entertainers of 2017. The "Best of 2017" is chosen by a combination of popularity, impact, acclaim, rankings and/or amount sold. But ultimately, we want you to let us know who and what from 2017 won the year in each category.
The NBA has become a league with personality, and there have been a lot of petty moments that have delighted fans. In this debate, we want to know who was the best troll in the league—Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors or Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder?
And don't forget to cast your vote for these other end of year debates:
Green isn't one to be quiet on the court, on social media or even the library. No one can control what he does, so just sit back and enjoy the ride. When he isn't kicking someone, he's usually getting in someone's face. Green went in on LeBron James after the Warriors beat the Cavaliers in the NBA finals. He mocked James' work dance and generally just got under his skin. Green is the master of bullying other players on the court, and letting them know about it off of the court.
Westbrook was already a petty person before Kevin Durant jumped ship to Golden State. But without his partner in crime to commiserate with, the Thunder guard was unchained, and in full troll mode in 2017. From signing his contract on Durant's birthday to the mocking of Durant through his wardrobe, these are just a couple of his petty moments. Westbrook took pleasure in lighting up social media, and the headlines with some sort of jab at his former teammate. Was it all super petty? Sure. When you're the league MVP after averaging a triple-double and finishing second in scoring, you can pretty much do whatever you want.
