Should fans be eliminated from NBA All-Star voting?
Alex Caruso, (186th in win shares) and Tacko Fall (11 minutes played this season) are leading Devin Booker (25.5 points per game) in All-Star voting. Let that sink in. People prove time and again they will make a mockery of anything.
The NBA All-Star Game is meant to honor players for their play in the first half of the season. Spots on a team should go to players who deserve it. Just because a dude plays ball while looking like your accountant or really, really tall doesn't mean they should get All-Star votes. If fans can't take the process seriously, they shouldn't be allowed to participate in it.
Ban fan voting!
People need to relax about NBA All-Star voting. This is a game for the fans and if the fans want to see bald Alex Caruso fly through the air or Tacko Fall carry his 7'6 frame up and down the court, so be it.
This is a chance for fans' voices to actually be heard. Stripping that away from them would be a huge mistake and PR nightmare for the league. They shouldn't have the opportunity to vote taken away.
