Who wins the NL Championship Series: Los Angeles Dodgers or Chicago Cubs?
The Los Angeles Dodgers reached the highest of highs and lowest of lows all in one season. After blistering through June and July, the Dodgers went cold in August. Still, they were able to finish on top of the NL West, and find themselves right where they were last year: four games away from the World Series.
Bolstered by the hot bat of Yasiel Puig, and unhittable stuff of Yu Darvish, the Dodgers have a chance to avenge last year's NLCS loss to the Cubs. This year will be different. The Dodgers are going to the World Series.
Home-field advantage, shome-shfield shadvantage; these Cubs don't need home cooking to win. Facing a talented Washington Nationals team, Chicago made some timely plays and took advantage of some lucky breaks to make it to the NLCS.
Anthony Rizzo stood out hitting a home run and driving six runs for the series. On the mound, Jon Lester made two appearances (one starting, one relief), pitching 9.2 innings and notching a 1.86 ERA. There's something special about this Cubs team that's intangible, but nonetheless present. History will repeat itself, and the Cubs will find themselves in the World Series again.
