After 10 seasons, the New York Yankees are not bringing back Joe Girardi to manage the team. Despite taking the organization to the American League Championship Series, the Yankees decided to move a different direction. After missing a perfect opportunity for a replay challenge in the ALDS, Joe Girardi cannot be trusted to run the team. Still, he took the Yankees to within one game of the World Series, and the team will regret letting him go. What do you think?

Joe Girardi's time with the Yankees was up. He had a nice year with the team this year, but that doesn't erase 10 years of mediocre managing. His blunder with the missed challenge in the American League Division Series is just one of many incidents where Girardi's incompetence has cost the Yankees in big moments. This move was a long time coming.

Girardi managed a team that was supposed to be in a rebuilding year and took them to within one game of the World Series. Any manager that does that doesn't deserve to be let go. Girardi already won one World Series with the team. With the team on the cusp of competing for another, not bringing him back to manage the team is a huge mistake by New York.
