2017 has been a heck of a ride, and we at the Tylt want to know what you think are the best parts of the year. Little dudes performed well in sports this past year, and Jose Altuve and Isaiah Thomas were two of the best. Altuve won the American League MVP, and helped the Houston Astros win their first World Series. Thomas had an MVP-caliber year with the Boston Celtics, and played through the death of his sister. Who's the little man of 2017? 🏀 ⚾

It's the end of the year! And we're facing-off the best songs, albums, movies, TV shows, video games, sports, pro athletes and entertainers of 2017. The "Best of 2017" is chosen by a combination of popularity, impact, acclaim, rankings and/or amount sold. But ultimately, we want you to let us know who and what from 2017 won the year in each category.

Fans are used to seeing imposing athletes dominate the sports landscape, but there are always diminutive players who prove that size doesn't matter. In this debate, we want to know who you think was the best little guy in sports—Isaiah Thomas with the Boston Celtics or Jose Altuve with the World Series winning Houston Astros?

And don't forget to cast your vote for these other end of year debates:

It was a heck of a year for the 5'6 Venezuelan 2nd baseman. Not only did he secure the American League MVP, he was a driving force behind the Houston Astros' first World Series championship team. Here are some of his numbers from Gabe Lacques of USA Today:

He led the AL in batting average (.346) and hits (204). He ranked first in offensive Wins Above Replacement (8.1) and WAR among position players (8.3). He tied for third in on base plus slugging (.957). His 24 home runs and 32 stolen bases put him atop the power-speed metric at 27.4. And in a season of record-setting home runs and punchouts, Altuve largely avoided the latter, striking out just 84 times – third-lowest total among hitters with at least 24 homers.
...

Isaiah Thomas may only be listed at 5'9", but he has a heart bigger than the seven-foot giants he competes against. Not only did he lead the Boston Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals, he had one of the best performances of the year. He scored 33 points after the death of his sister. Even though he had players standing literally head and shoulders above him, Thomas finished fifth in the MVP voting, and averaged 28.9 points per game for the year. He is an example of size just being a number.
