Breakout star of the year: Aaron Judge or Giannis Antetokounmpo?
It's the end of the year! And we're facing-off the best songs, albums, movies, TV shows, video games, sports, pro athletes and entertainers of 2017. The "Best of 2017" is chosen by a combination of popularity, impact, acclaim, rankings and/or amount sold. But ultimately, we want you to let us know who and what from 2017 won the year in each category.
There were a number of breakout athletes this year. In this debate, we want to know who you think made the best entrance into superstardom—rookie sensation Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees or Giannis Antetokounmpo, also known as The Greek Freak, of the Milwaukee Bucks?
And don't forget to cast your vote for these other end of year debates:
All rise. Aaron Judge is now presiding over MLB. The New York Yankees right fielder let the league know loud and clear that he was the going to be the brightest star. He set the rookie home run record, and was second in the American League in wins above replacement. To do all this in his first full year as a major league baseball player is one of the most impressive performances in the history of the game.
The Greek Freak has been a trendy persona in the NBA, but now his game is living up to the name. Antetokounmpo took a giant euro step into the spotlight in 2017, averaging 22.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game last season. He was named to the NBA All-Defensive team and Most Improved Player of the Year. The sky is the limit for Antetokounmpo, and his star is about to get even brighter.
