MLB legend Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth's home run record on April 8, 1974, and although Barry Bonds officially has the record for most career home runs, many still believe the former Braves great is the true home run king. Aaron got his home runs without the help of performance-enhancing drugs after all. Still, power can only get you so far, and Bonds was merely leveling the playing field. What do you think? ⚾

Hank Aaron didn't need performance-enhancing drugs to hit 755 home runs. He is the real home run king.

This is the real record-setting home run by Hank Aaron. Barry Bonds made a mockery of baseball with his shameful use of performance-enhancing drugs. Major League Baseball should not have his name sullying its record book. Bonds already had power, but he got greedy. His home runs are a product of the drugs, not his immense talent.

Bonds may have been able to pass Hank Aaron on his own, but because of his steroid use, we can never really know the truth.

Hitting home runs takes more than power. It's a combo of timing, precision and a good eye—things that can't be improved with drugs. Barry Bonds was one of the greatest hitters of all time because he possessed all four of those traits. He may have taken performance-enhancing drugs, but he never needed them to reach the home run record.

Bonds was already a great hitter and would've passed Hank Aaron—regardless of performance-enhancing drugs.

Bonds took performance-enhancing drugs, but so did everyone else. He was just a product of the era he played in. Bonds shouldn't be penalized because he was doing what everyone else did. Hank Aaron wasn't all clean himself—he had amphetamines or "greenies" to boost his performance.

Bonds just leveled the playing field by taking performance-enhancing drugs.
