“Real player motion” isn’t perfect, but it’s an honest improvement that feels better and better the longer I play the game. I consider this the best version of Madden to date, and I’ve been playing the franchise since I could hold a controller in my hand. Another year, another disappointment. Some have complained about the game mechanics, and the terrible "Longshot" story mode cannot cover up the deficiencies of the game. Here is True Achievements with more:
While Madden NFL 19's story mode thankfully does away with the run of mini-games that plagued the first one from a gameplay perspective, it is an utter disaster in every other way. With endless tropes, nonsensical plot points, character arcs that make no sense, and far more unintentional humor than actual jokes, its saving grace may be that it nearly convinced me "so bad it's good" is a real thing.
