Loyola University coach Sheryl Swoopes under investigation | The Tylt
Every generation of athletes thinks the younger generation can't take the pressure. Are some coaches getting out of hand? Or do student athletes need to toughen up?
Take this week's series of complaints against NCAA coaches. After ten players transferred or requested to be released from their scholarships, Loyola University Chicago launched an internal investigation into complaints against their women's basketball coach, Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist Sheryl Swoopes.
Swoopes's supporters are urging fans not to rush to judgment, and many claim this is a case of entitled athletes who can't handle being pushed. Swoopes is a four-time WNBA champion and three-time Olympic gold medalist, and her detractors argue that her experience as a professional athlete has led her to be overly harsh with her players.
