There's a reason Lonzo Ball was taken with the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft—he is a star. Ball may not be scoring right now, but he has a natural feel for the game, and can change the pace of play with his passing. He has also been a good defender at the point guard position, shutting down the league's best point guards for stretches. Most importantly, he's all about winning. His unselfish attitude makes everyone better and keeps the rest of the team happy.

Ball might not have numbers now, but he is still the most important rookie the Lakers have.

A lot of people scratched their heads when the Lakers selected Kyle Kuzma later in the second round. Now, he is showing the world why. Kuzma is averaging 15.0 points per game, third amongst all rookiesand he's shooting 54.3 percent from the field. People are still waiting for Ball to make an impact, but Kuzma has already made an impact on this team.

He has not only been the Lakers' best rookie, he is arguably the team's best player.
