Best 1-on-1 NBA player ever: LeBron James or Kevin Durant?
There is no greater test of basketball skill than going one-on-one and seeing if you have what to takes to score or stop someone. A common trend with all of the greatest players ever is being able to isolate and put defenders in a blender. But who should be crowned the G.O.A.T.? Tell us what you think by voting below!
There has never been an athlete like LeBron James in NBA history. No one should be that big and move that fast!
James is already unstoppable in a team setting. Having an entire half court to operate in is game over for any defender. His post game is good and still evolving and no one is stopping him if he decides to drive to the basket. Throw in an improved jumper and you have the deadliest weapon in one-on-one.
Kevin Durant might hold his own scoring, but there is no way he can stop James consistently enough to win. Game, set, match to the King.
Few basketball players can say they have a truly have an unstoppable move. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had the skyhook and Drik Nowitzki had his patented one-legged fadeaway, but Kevin Durant made his jump shot a weapon of mass destruction.
Durant is listed at 6 feet and 9 inches tall, but many feel he is close to 7 feet with his 7-feet-5-inches wingspan. As soon as he raises up and puts that ball above his head, no one is blocking that shot. Throw in his ability to handle the ball and you have one of the best offensive players to ever grace an NBA court.
People knock him for being slender, but he's still listed at 240-pounds and proved hearty enough to defend LeBron James in the NBA Finals. This matchup goes to the Durantula.
