Is LeBron James better than Michael Jordan? | The Tylt
Dwyane Wade said "it's not possible" for LeBron James to surpass Michael Jordan's legacy. And now NBA fans are debating who's actually the greatest of all time (GOAT). While there's no denying MJ's impact and many fans agree with Dwyane, others point out that LeBron has accomplished more in his career at 31 than MJ did at that age. What do you think? Dwyane was asked if his former teammate LeBron can surpass MJ's legacy.
He told ESPN:
No, it's not possible. It's not possible... I don't know if [James] has the ability to surpass him or not. That's yet to be seen. My version as LeBron being on par with Michael is this: They're both on the golf course. Michael's on the 18th hole; LeBron is somewhere on like the fourth hole. He's got a long way to go, but he's on par to get to the 18th hole.
And although many agree with Dwyane's assessment, others don't. MJ and LeBron are nearly tied in awards and recognition. But LeBron has been the NBA's MVP more times, and he's reached the NBA Finals more than MJ.
Once you're known as the greatest of the something, it's hard to lose that title.
But maybe it's time to let it go, MJ fans. No one is denying his legacy, but LeBron might have already surpassed MJ in greatness.
Jordan's legacy lives on! And that's really hard for anyone to top.
