Is it really Tim Duncan's time to retire? | The Tylt
So yes, Tim Duncan (A.K.A. the Big Fundamental) has been in the game for a VERY long time. Tim announced his retirement on Monday after 19 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, but some fans want to see him make it to 20 years. It was a bittersweet moment.
Is it really the Big Fundamental's time to retire?
The two-time NBA MVP winner is 40 years old. Some say it was a good run, but his time is up. The Big Fundamental has spent his entire career with the Spurs. It's truly tough for fans to see a legend retire. Others say Tim is the best power forward of all time, and he should keep on playing a little longer.
But could the legendary power forward stay with the Spurs for at least one more year?
Throughout his historic career, Tim was called ageless. He's won three Finals MVPs and five NBA championships. The game might still need him after all he's accomplished. But the sad truth in the NBA is the older you get, the less valuable you become.
What do you think? Are you waving #GoodbyeTimDuncan? Or are you cheering #KeepPlayingTimDuncan?
