Will the Houston Texans survive without Deshaun Watson?

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson was on his way to a dream season before a torn ACL in practice ended his season. With Watson and All-Pro defensive end J.J. Watt sidelined for the season, Houston has no shot at being a legitimate title contender. Still, the Texans were okay without Watt, and they still have the pieces to make a playoff push. What do you think? 🏈

Houston is now down an emerging star quarterback and its All-Pro defensive end. Without these two pieces, the Texans have no shot at a playoff run, only mediocrity. Try as they might, the offense was a wreck without Watson and will be stagnant without the arm and legs of Houston's first-round draft pick.

The Texans are screwed, and everyone knows it.

The NFL predicted that the AFC South would be a wide-open division this year, and the teams have lived up to that expectation. There are fewer than three games standing between last place in the division and first place, and the Texans could easily slip into that spot if Tom Savage is capable of leading this team. There is no clear-cut favorite in the AFC South.

Houston can win this division, and make it to the playoffs without Watson.
