Should the Houston Texans sign Colin Kaepernick?

With Deshaun Watson out for the rest of the season, many fans are wondering why the Houston Texans aren’t looking at Colin Kaepernick to replace him. Both are mobile quarterbacks, so the change in schemes wouldn’t be as drastic as it would be with Tom Savage. Still, Kaepernick isn’t on an NFL roster because he’s just not that talented, and the Houston Texans should not give in to public pressure. What do you think? 🏈

Deshaun Watson is a mobile quarterback. Colin Kaepernick is a mobile quarterback. It makes so much sense, that the Houston Texans would be stupid not to sign him.

So much of the Texans' success this year has been due to Watson's legs, and switching over to Tom Savage or T.J. Yates would be a huge change for this offense. Both Savage and Yates don't have the quickest feet, and the offensive line won't be able to protect them. At least with Kaepernick, the team has a chance at winning.

People are treating Colin Kaepernick like he's a Hall of Famer that can turn a franchise's fortunes around. Kaepernick was terrible last year, and he's still terrible this year. It has been eight games, and Kaepernick isn't on an NBA roster because he's just not good enough.

Even if Kaepernick could help a team, his asking price might be too high for a player who's just a backup. Then there's the media circus that would take over Houston if Kaepernick was brought onto the team. Houston doesn't need him.
