Who would win a Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor rematch?
If you want to compare boxing skill level in terms of basketball players, Floyd Mayweather is LeBron James and Conor McGregor is LaMelo Ball. Mayweather is a stratosphere above McGregor, and anyone who watched the fight, or the highlights, knows that. Even if this rematch happened a year later, Mayweather would still dominate McGregor like he was an amateur, toying with him to the crowd's delight until he strikes the Irishman with a barrage of punches he can't handle.
Any rematch at this point would be a waste of everyone's time. Mayweather would smoke McGregor like he did in the last fight.
Not one to lack confidence, McGregor has no doubt in his mind he would be able to beat Mayweather in a rematch. While some will find that claim far-fetched, McGregor is actually right. The Irish fighter got his first taste of elite level boxing, and he held his own just fine. He didn't get rocked, and he didn't get wobbled—he just got tired. Given more time to condition like a boxer, McGregor would be able to go the distance and do some damage on the older Mayweather.
McGregor may not win every fight, but he learns and comes back stronger than ever. Just ask Nate Diaz. Mayweather would be in trouble if he decided to fight McGregor again.
