Should EA bring back 'NCAA Football'?

It's been five years since Electronic Arts pulled the plug on its "NCAA Football" franchise, leaving many gamers heartbroken. Some look back fondly at the series and hope that it comes back soon. Still, the game used the likeness of these athletes without giving them any compensation. Paying all those athletes would cost too much money. The franchise is dead forever. What do you think? 🏈 🎮

"NCAA Football" remains one of the most beloved franchises in EA's history. The rowdiness of the crowd could actually affect your play and it had one of the most in-depth franchise modes in all of gaming. The company would be foolish not to bring it back.

Because of Ed O'Bannon's lawsuit against the NCAA, and EA for not compensating him for using his likeness in "NCAA Basketball," the video game publisher had to pony up $60 million to pay the people it used in the game.

EA is not going to pay student-athletes to use in a video game, especially a football game where there are a lot of players on each team. It would cost the company millions of dollars. That would be a horrible way to run a business. The "NCAA Football" franchise is dead.
